Stephen Colbert & Alicia Keys Get in a Nutmeg State of Mind
Not because the old SNL skit about "white guys who take no crap" has Connecticut gotten in like manner much hip-hop love. Stephen Colbert teamed with Alicia Keys last night to suburbanize "Empire State of Mind," giving the ode to the Big Apple a decidedly Metro-North flair.
"Khaki and Pataki." It’s portentous that no one has rhymed that two verses before. And the Hard Rock Cafe zest deal, "The Lion King" and the M&M treasury all get the props they likewise deserve.
