The Brooklyn Bridge Crossing
The Brooklyn Bridge is 6016 feet long, spanning the East river and
allowing transportation from Manhattan Island to the Western Shore
of Brooklyn. Construction began on January 3, 1870, and the bridge
was open to traffic on May 24, 1883.
Tolls
There is no toll in either direction on the Brooklyn Bridge.
