Panorama of New York City – Queens Museum of Art
Amazing 895,000 individual building model layout created over 300 man-years for the NY Worlds's Fair of 1964. The model was last updated in 1992. Every building built before 1992 is apparently represented. across all 5 buroughs of NY City area. Housed in the former New York State building from the 1939 World's Fair, the innovative museum display depicts a helicopter eye's view of the NY City area. Fascinating display…and a short subway ride on the 7 line to the Queens Museum of Art, located on the same grounds as Shea Stadium and the US Open Tennis Center.
