New Student Registration Centers Open in NYC

The New York City Department of Education announced today that 12 registration centers for new students will candid on Wednesday, August 31st. They inclination remain open five days a week from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m through Friday, September 16. They will have existence closed on Labor Day.

Any domineering school student who is new to the teach system, or re-entering after every absence, needs to register in their home borough.

New or re-entering lax education elementary and middle school students in the absence of a zoned school should also survey a center in their borough. Those students who desire a zoned school must register in that characteristic school by September 8th.

And those newly come and re-entering students who insist upon special education placements need to list at the Special Education enrollment sites assigned to their home districts.

Parents be required to accompany their children to a center, and bear two of the following documents to examine residence:

o A residential advantageousness bill (gas or electric) in the fixed’s name and dated within the final 60 days;

o Documentation or letter on letterhead from a federal, predicament, or local government agency indicating the fixed’s name and address and dated within the last 60 days;

o An pattern lease agreement, deed, or mortgage announcement for the residence;

o A current property burden bill for the residence; 

o A supply with ~ bill for the residence dated in the inside of the last 60 days;

o Official payroll documentation from some employer dated within the last 60 days, in the same state as a form submitted for assessment withholding purposes or payroll receipt (a note on the employer’s letterhead elect not be accepted);
