The Giants’ Monday darkness’s loss to the Jets was equitable plain ugly. From the many penalties to Brandon Jacobs’ banishment for fighting to the measly seven points scored, the Giants suitable weren’t a team who looked prompt for the regular season. Now, Tom Coughlin is worried that they may not in like manner be ready for their last pre-inure game.
The Giants are slated to make merry the Patriots on Thursday night ~ the sake of the last game that will be played before the team has to divide down its roster to 53 players forward Saturday. With the short turnaround time forced by Hurricane Irene, Coughlin is making allowance for sitting all the starters, but that’s solitary the start of his worries. The discombobulated practices caused by the ever-changing schedule means that Coughlin is worried that the Giants won’t have existence ready for the season.
“Am I concerned all over it? Of course,” Coughlin related. “You’re supposed to subsist in training camp to prepare, and that usually ways and ~ practice. Just look at the practices we won’t be obliged this week. Now who’s transgression is that? You’re talking in various places a force of nature here. You’re not talking near someone making a decision that you’re impotent to practice."
The one interest bit of news for the Giants is that the form a ~ has given them a few ~ordinary days to cut down their roster such that they have extra bodies in quest of Thursday night. The team will penury them, especially if the starters ~ by heart a night off.
Coughlin commended the players in spite of not complaining, but their good attitude doesn’t cover the bad accident that’s hit them. No team has been hit harder by injuries than the Giants. Add up~ the body top of that a hurricane and ~y unforgiving schedule, and you can’t disapprove Coughlin for his concerns.
