Three Long Island tender firefighters were injured after they were launched from the back of a barter during a drill. 

The four men were thrown from the exchange when it veered into a stiff guard rail during a practice sitting in North Woodmere. 

The victims’ names were not heart made public. 

The men, betwixt ages 20 and 26, were conducting that which is called a "drill team tuition exercise." 

The drill team is a troupe of firefighters that practices acrobatic maneuvers with ladders and hoses, often while speeding from a thin to a dense state makeshift drag strips, hanging onto the specialized vehicles.

“It is a part that has gone on for decades, 100 years maybe,” said Elmont Fire Chief Mike Capoziello. “It’s prevalent on Long Island. Upstate departments act it.”

Nassau County police require opened an investigation into the shiver.

The most severely injured victim is a 26-year-practised man with about 10 years of actual presentation on the force. He suffered a great head injury, although Capoziello said his plight has improved dramatically since the mishap.

Despite the criticism, members of the Hempstead Fire Department drill team gathered for practice Wednesday. 

When one assistant chief noticed NBC New York‘s recent accounts camera, he requested the team leave the training facility. 

When NBC New York refused, the trench team began packing up their equipment.
